Job summary
The Carlyle Group is seeking a Microsoft Purview and Data Protection Engineer in New York to lead enterprise data protection design and automation. You will drive DLP, DSPM, and information protection strategies across Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoints, and cloud apps while coordinating with security, compliance, and legal stakeholders.
Ideal candidates have deep technical expertise and a track record of translating regulatory requirements into robust controls, policies, and scalable solutions
Qualifications
- The candidate should have a cybersecurity-related concentration and preferably an advanced degree.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview and related security tools is required or highly preferred.
- Ability to design and implement enterprise data protection controls and DSPM/DLP policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and deployment of Microsoft Purview solutions across enterprise environments.
- Develop and manage DLP policies, incident response, and governance controls.
- Collaborate with Security Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Engineering teams to mature data protection.
