Job summary

BlueVoyant is seeking an experienced Senior Purview Specialist to join Deployment Engineering, Microsoft Data Security & Compliance. You will lead complex Purview deployments, drive data protection policies, and deliver compliance reporting for customers ranging from mid-market to global enterprises.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate across the Purview and Microsoft 365 ecosystem, and contribute to knowledge sharing while supporting pre-sales with technical demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience enabling security and compliance technologies.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Purview including Data Classification, Information Protection, DLP and Insider Risk Management.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Purview Center administration and configuration.
• Knowledge of data governance principles within the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience implementing sensitivity labels, retention policies, and DLP rules.
• Experience with compliance query languages and/or scripting (PowerShell).
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement and teamwork.
• Microsoft certifications related to compliance and security (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Work on Purview and Compliance project implementations for customers remotely, including design and deployment.
• Implement and configure data security solutions: classification, information protection, DLP, and Insider Risk.
• Create data protection policies, automation workflows, and compliance reporting per requirements.
• Assess and report maturity of client data security and compliance deployments.
• Define and assist in creating operational and executive compliance dashboards and reports.
• Participate in R&D for process improvement and feature enhancements.
• Collaborate across Purview and Microsoft 365 compliance ecosystem.
• Serve as a strategic delivery resource for large enterprise projects.
• Mentor mid and junior engineers on the team.
• Support managed service customers to mature data security practices.
• Identify improvements around processes and technical enablement.
• Contribute to internal docs, lunch-and-learn sessions, and public blogs.
• Support pre-sales with technical expertise and demonstrations of Purview capabilities.
