Job summary

Amentum seeks a senior Systems/Infrastructure Engineer to support a McLean, VA client. You will design, implement, and sustain Microsoft-based enterprise infrastructure, including AD, Exchange, SQL Server, backups, and Cisco networking, in a secure, compliant environment. This role requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and U.S.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience engineering, administering, securing Microsoft enterprise environments.
• Expert knowledge of Active Directory Domain Services and Exchange.
• Experience with SQL Server 2019/2022 and backup solutions.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity, hardening, compliance, audit readiness, and vulnerability management.
• Must hold TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
• Administer Active Directory, Exchange, SQL Server, backup, and Cisco network.
• Maintain secure baselines and compliance through audits and monitoring.
• Document processes and system artifacts for reviews.
• Mentor junior staff and act as escalation resource.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, networking, DB, server, and management teams.
• Ensure infrastructure is secure, available, and compliant.
