Job summary

Amentum in Columbia, MD is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to lead enterprise infrastructure across compute, storage, network, and identity services for classified environments. The role blends hands-on engineering with strategic roadmaps and modernization initiatives.

You will design, implement, and operate Cisco UCS, Active Directory, storage, and core networking, while mentoring staff and ensuring security through patching, STIGs, and change control in a collaborative cybersecurity

Qualifications

• 10+ years designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco UCS and enterprise networks.
• Experience with virtualization platforms and storage technologies.
• Strong AD, DNS/DHCP, GPO and identity management experience.
• Ability to lead complex projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and maintain enterprise infrastructure.
• Architect and support network solutions across classified environments.
• Lead modernization, migrations, and lifecycle management.
• Oversee storage, backups, DR, and capacity planning.
• Enforce security, STIGs, and system hardening with cybersecurity collaboration.
• Document architectures, standards, and runbooks.
