Amentum seeks an Expert Software Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead cloud-enabled software initiatives in a security-cleared environment. You will design, develop, and migrate legacy systems to modern cloud platforms, establish CI/CD, and guide cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include architecture, documentation, and collaboration with customers to deliver robust, secure software solutions across Windows and Linux platforms.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience with EKS/Kubernetes or other container orchestration software.
• Proficiency in two or more languages: Python, NodeJS, Angular, JavaScript, C#, SQL.
• Experience with cloud technologies and migrating systems to the cloud.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Splunk, and diagramming applications.
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and DevOps practices.
• Background in on-call support and operational monitoring of critical systems.
• Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Poly.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.

Responsabilidades

• Lead software development projects from requirements analysis through deployment and maintenance.
• Design and develop software solutions using Python, NodeJS, Angular, JavaScript, C#, SQL.
• Build and migrate to cloud environments; establish CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system operations with Splunk and Grafana/Prometheus.
• Work with Jira and Confluence for agile management.
• Produce designs, ICDs, and operational procedures documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to reverse engineer legacy codebases and create UML models.
• Support secure communications systems complying with security standards.
• Research, prototype, and recommend improvements to architectures.
• Troubleshoot complex software, performance, and infrastructure issues.
• Adopt emerging technologies to improve system efficiency.
• Communicate project activities and deliverables to clients.
• Lead process groups to analyze and redesign business processes.
