Job summary

Crown Castle is seeking an Engineer III Software (Microsoft 365) to own and advance our Microsoft 365 platform. You will design, implement, and operate SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and Entra ID, delivering reliable collaboration services and driving standardization and automation across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Microsoft 365 certifications preferred (e.g., Administrator Expert, Messaging Administrator, Teams Administrator).
• 5+ years of experience administering and engineering Microsoft 365 in large enterprise environments.
• Deep SharePoint Online expertise including site architecture, permissions, governance, and migrations.
• Extensive Exchange Online administration including mail flow, rules, and coexistence.
• PowerShell scripting and automation for M365 administration (3+ years).
• Experience with Teams administration, Entra ID, and Purview security and compliance tooling.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, administer, and optimize the Microsoft 365 platform across core workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID).
• Lead migrations and hybrid configurations between on‑premises Exchange and Exchange Online.
• Develop automation using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and Power Platform to standardize provisioning and lifecycle management.
• Implement security and compliance controls (DLP, retention, sensitivity labeling, conditional access).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure M365 solutions meet organizational needs.
