Job summary

EY is seeking a senior SharePoint Engineer to lead on-premises to Microsoft 365 migrations and build modern SharePoint Online intranets. You will shape target information architecture, migration waves, and modernization approaches while partnering with client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

You will bring deep experience across SharePoint Server/Online and Microsoft 365 administration, leading workshops and delivering end-to-end project lifecycles with governance and risk

Qualifications

• 3+ years of consulting experience delivering SharePoint solutions and/or migrations using Microsoft technologies.
• Hands-on experience with SharePoint Server (2013/2016/2019) and SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
• Experience with at least one major migration toolset (e.g., Microsoft Migration Manager, ShareGate, AvePoint, Quest, or similar).
• Experience implementing modern SharePoint Online intranets (IA, hubs, navigation, search, metadata, and permissions).
• Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate), especially for forms/workflow modernization patterns.

Responsibilities

• Assess & plan migrations: run discovery/inventory, define migration scope and waves, estimate effort/complexity, and establish cutover and hypercare plans.
• Design the target intranet: define information architecture, hub/site strategy, navigation, search approach, metadata/content types, and permissions model.
• Execute migrations: configure and operate Microsoft and third-party migration tooling, manage pilots, remediate issues, and drive successful cutovers.
• Modernize solutions: map legacy workflows/forms to Power Automate and Power Apps patterns where appropriate.
• Enable operations & governance: establish standards, provisioning/lifecycle controls, and operational reporting.
• Lead stakeholders: run workshops, produce client-ready deliverables, and communicate risks clearly to technical and business audiences.
