Job summary

Temple Health – Temple University Health System is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor who will assist in training and supervising departmental staff. You will help ensure that existing and new laboratory procedures are dependable, efficient, and properly reported.

In this role, you will drive continuous improvements, maintain the quality of equipment and materials, and keep accurate records while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting body regulations to safeguard patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences or Chemistry required.
• 3 years experience in relevant laboratory section required.
• Licenses: ASCP Preferred; AMT Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the training and supervision of departmental personnel.
• Helps determine that existing and new laboratory procedures are dependable, performed efficiently and reported properly.
• Implements improvements and ensures quality of apparatus, equipment and materials when directed.
• Maintains efficient record systems and performs related duties in the best interests of laboratory services to patients.
• Maintains compliance with all federal, state and accrediting organization regulations.
