Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution is required.
• Must meet qualifications to function as a Technical Supervisor under CLIA regulations for Microbiology.
• California licensure as Clinical Microbiologist Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist is required.
• Board Certification (e.g., ASCP) preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience with process development and Lean improvements is required.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking ability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities of CLS, MLTs, and laboratory assistants in Microbiology.
• Provide technical oversight and data review for the department.
• Manage personnel and support department development within regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with lab leadership to drive process improvements and ensure quality.
