Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience in material handling or warehouse automation.
• Experience designing, implementing, commissioning, or supporting conveyor and automated material handling systems.
• Strong understanding of conveyor technologies, accumulation, merges, diverts, sortation, and throughput analysis.
• Experience managing projects through design, procurement, installation, testing, and handoff.
• Working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment, sensors, motors, VFDs, networks, and safety systems.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and controls documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis across mechanical, electrical, controls, and integration.
• Experience with OEMs, system integrators, and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 50-75%.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, engineering, implementation, and optimization of MHS for warehousing operations.
• Develop system concepts with conveyors, MDR, merges, sortation, and AS/RS.
• Perform throughput and capacity analyses to validate designs.
• Review layouts, elevations, routing, interfaces, and maintenance access.
• Develop equipment specs, DoO, control narratives, and performance requirements.
• Ensure maintainability, reliability, safety, and lifecycle cost in designs.
• Provide technical oversight for PLC-controlled systems and safety devices.
