Job summary

Target is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Suffolk, VA to lead building automation and optimize Material Handling Equipment (MHE). You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and train teams while ensuring equipment availability across the facility.

You will oversee electrical/control systems, implement safety procedures, and drive continuous improvement in conveyor, robotics, and AS/RS operations. Requires 24/7 availability and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Two or four-year degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering or equivalent.
• Willing to work all days and shifts (24/7 operation).
• Industrial electrical hands‑on experience with 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead building automation and installation initiatives.
• Monitor and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and ensure uptime.
• Conduct technical interviews and train technicians.
