Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer – Level 4 in Linthicum, MD, onsite. You will lead requirements development, technical planning, system integration, verification and risk analysis across the full manufacturing lifecycle, including advanced manufacturing and digital technology projects such as automation and analytics.

The role requires a BS in engineering with 8+ years of experience (or 6+ with MS; 4+ with PhD) and active SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance required.
• BS degree in Engineering or related STEM with 8+ years experience (6+ years with MS; 4+ years with PhD).
• Experience with manual and automated assembly processes.
• Experience with Augmented Reality (AR) systems.
• Familiarity with J-STD and MIL-STD requirements.
• Experience with manufacturing lifecycle, cost, ROI and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Surveillance and Targeting Business Unit and Operations to stay current with new concept and proposal programs.
• Support Program Proposal and develop cost estimates for manufacturing including product cost routings and NRE.
• Serve as operations technical interface for Manufacturing and IPTs for low MRL programs.
• Support IPTs in make/buy/dual sourcing decisions.
• Participate in producibility reviews for new product designs.
• Recommend design improvements to produce lower cost/higher performing products.
