Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer – Level 4 to lead the full manufacturing lifecycle. This 100% onsite role requires a Secret clearance and focuses on advanced manufacturing, automation, and digital tooling to improve quality, cycle time, and cost.

You will drive requirements, cost estimates, and IPT coordination; support make/buy decisions; and lead producibility reviews while advancing state-of-the-art process capabilities and capital investment

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM and 8 years of experience (6 with MS; 4 with PhD).
• Requires an active Secret/SCI clearance at time of application.
• Experience with manual and automated assembly processes.
• Experience with Augmented Reality Systems.
• Project management experience.
• Familiarity with J-STD and MIL-STD requirements.

Aufgaben

• Interface with Surveillance and Targeting Business Unit and Operations to stay current with new concept and proposal programs.
• Support Program Proposal and develop cost estimates for manufacturing including product cost routings and NRE.
• Serve as operations technical interface for Manufacturing and RSP IPTs for low MRL programs.
• Support IPTs in make/buy/dual sourcing decisions.
• Participate in producibility reviews for new product designs.
• Recommend design improvements to reduce cost and improve performance.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing processes focusing on affordability.
• Translate state-of-the-art process capabilities for designers via manufacturing SMEs.
• Develop IRAD and capital investment plans with Manufacturing Strategy and Integration.
