Job summary
Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) is seeking a Senior Development Engineer to join the Mezzanine Products team in Etters, PA. You will own concept generation, design, verification and qualification of high-speed connectors, ensuring manufacturability and compliance with customer requirements.
The role involves global collaboration and interaction with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include leading design reviews, defining specs, developing test plans, and supporting manufacturing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10+ years of full lifecycle product development experience.
- Experience in connector design.
- Proficient in 3D modeling using SolidWorks.
- Strong GD&T (ASME Y14.5) knowledge and experience with tolerance analysis.
- Experience with FEA simulation (ANSYS or similar).
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop connector solutions per roadmap.
- Define product requirements with front-end team and customers.
- Lead product design reviews and present technical concepts.
- Develop testing programs to validate designs.
- Coordinate with NPI and manufacturing to transition to production.
- Support qualification and verification activities.
