Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking a Fab Metrology & Yield Engineer to own and improve metrology, inspection and yield-monitoring capabilities in the fabrication facility.

The role partners with integration, yield and process engineering to ensure robust measurement, actionable defect data, and disciplined problem-solving that drives yield improvements and production stability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience
• Experience in metrology, inspection, and yield-monitoring within semiconductor fab
• Strong data analytics, DOE, and SPC skills for process improvements
• Ability to lead tool bring-up and production release of AOI and related systems

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Operate and support metrology and inspection equipment in full compliance with EHS standards
• AOI Tool Ownership: Lead installation, qualification, recipe development, and production release of automated optical inspection tools
• Production Microscopy: Own fab microscopy platforms for rapid defect review and root-cause analysis
• Flying Probe Testing: Support and optimize flying probe test equipment and methodologies
• Profilometry & Surface Metrology: Own profilometry systems and measurement techniques for film thickness and topography
• Yield Analysis & Excursion Response: Analyze data to identify yield limiters and drive corrective actions
• Data & SPC Systems: Develop and maintain SPC strategies for metrology and inspection steps
• Documentation & Standards: Generate work instructions and qualification reports
