Divergent is seeking a Senior Metrology & Inspection Specialist to lead inspection strategy across our advanced manufacturing processes. This role requires deep expertise in GD&T and AS9102, with responsibilities spanning from defining inspection approaches to mentoring colleagues and driving CAPA initiatives.

You will partner with production and engineering to improve part quality, reduce variability, and ensure compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in high-precision manufacturing (aerospace, defense, automotive).
• Mastery of GD&T ASME Y14.5 in real-world inspection.
• Expert in selecting metrology tools based on part geometry and tolerances.
• Proven mentoring abilities to elevate inspection standards.
• Experience with AS9102 FAI documentation, NCRs, and quality system protocols.
• Ability to influence process improvements and inspection methodology.
• Authorized to access information subject to US export controls.

Responsabilités

• Lead precision inspection on complex machined and additively manufactured components.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to develop robust inspection strategies.
• Define methodologies for first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Document non-conformances per AS9102 and internal procedures.
• Mentor inspectors and engineers in metrology and GD&T.
• Lead SOPs and inspection standards updates in partnership with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
