Unify Recruit is seeking an experienced Senior Metrology Engineer to lead dimensional inspection strategies for medical device components in a regulated environment. You will program and validate CMM inspections, interpret GD&T, and drive measurement uncertainty and MSA.

Collaborating with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering, you will develop inspection plans, fixtures, and tooling; support FAI, PPAP, and audits; mentor teams; and pursue ISO 13485 compliance and continuous cost reduction.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in mechanical/manufacturing/metrology or related field.
• 5+ years in metrology, dimensional inspection, or quality engineering in precision manufacturing.
• Strong hands-on experience programming and operating CMMs.
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T and drawing interpretation.
• Experience with measurement uncertainty and MSA/Gage R&R.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and medical device manufacturing.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, optimize, and validate dimensional inspection strategies for medical device components and assemblies.
• Program, troubleshoot, validate, and maintain CMM inspection programs and equipment.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T requirements, and product specs to establish inspection methods.
• Create inspection plans, inspection sheets, control plans, and technical documentation.
• Design and validate custom gauges, fixtures, and inspection tooling.
• Conduct MSA, including Gage R&R studies and measurement capability assessments.
• Establish measurement standards, calibration requirements, and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Investigate dimensional nonconformances and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Support FAI, process validation, PPAP, and customer qualification activities.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to improve processes and reduce risk.
• Provide hands-on technical support to production teams and troubleshot inspection challenges.
• Train and mentor inspectors, CMM programmers, and production personnel.
