Job summary

Higgins Group, Inc. is seeking a Metal Stud Framer for our commercial construction projects. The role focuses on installing metal stud framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceilings on site, with opportunities to lead field crews and coordinate with project teams.

The candidate will read blueprints, manage layouts, and plan daily work to meet schedules while prioritizing safety and quality on every job site.

Qualifications

2+ years of interior and exterior metal stud framing experience.
2+ years in a leadership or foreman role preferred.
Ability to read plans and manage layout independently.
Strong experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, and ACT.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required.
Employment contingent upon passing Drug Test, Physical, and E-Verify.

Responsibilities

Install metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems per plans and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project documents.
Plan daily and weekly work to meet project schedules and production goals.
Lead, manage, and develop field crews on commercial job sites.
Enforce safety policies and maintain a safe jobsite environment.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other trades.
Track labor productivity and adjust crews as needed.
Identify and resolve jobsite challenges proactively.
Train and mentor journeyman and apprentice-level team members.
