Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an Experienced Metal Process Engineer to join the Metals team on site in Austin, TX. You will maintain and develop critical process parameters, lead investigations, and drive rapid containment during fab events while delivering data-driven improvements.

The role requires a 4-year engineering degree and 4+ years in semiconductor processing, with strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate across equipment, manufacturing, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 4-year engineering degree required.
• Minimum 4 years of related semiconductor process experience.
• Experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
• AMAT ENDURA platform experience highly desired.
• Understanding of critical process parameters and equipment signals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot complex fab process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Lead task forces to improve KPI: yield, defect reduction, OEE, and scrap.
• Monitor processes/equipment and generate data-driven reports (e.g., 8D).
• Update SOPs and support cost reduction initiatives.
