Synechron, a leading global consulting firm, seeks a Senior Systems Operations Developer to optimize messaging infrastructure and Linux-based platforms. You will maintain production systems, implement automation, and ensure security, reliability, and efficient mail-flow across environments.

The role emphasizes incident response, configuration management, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable messaging solutions for financial services and tech clients.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience in systems operations, production support, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on Linux administration and command-line skills.
• Experience with SMTP, DNS/MX, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, TLS, and mail-flow.
• Experience supporting Proofpoint and Cloudmark or similar messaging-security platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot incidents and automate processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support messaging and email infrastructure in production environments.
• Perform day-to-day product operations, including monitoring and incident response.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and services.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Proofpoint and Cloudmark solutions.
• Design and maintain SMTP routing, relays, gateways, and mail-flow configurations.
• Investigate email delivery issues and monitor system health and performance.
• Develop scripts to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with security, network, and engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support production deployments.
