Job summary

Synechron is seeking a System Engineer to manage enterprise email infrastructure in Charlotte, NC, focusing on messaging technologies, Proofpoint Cloudmark, and SMTP routing on Linux servers. You will administer, monitor, and troubleshoot mail flow, deliverability, and security, analyze logs for root causes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production environments.

This role requires strong Linux administration, DNS/DKIM/SPF/DMARC knowledge, and experience with monitoring

Qualifications

Strong experience with Messaging Technologies and email systems.
Hands-on experience with Proofpoint Cloudmark.
Good understanding of SMTP Routing, email flow, and mail gateway configurations.
Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge of DNS, MX records, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Experience with monitoring, system performance tuning, and production support.

Responsibilities

Administer and support enterprise messaging and email infrastructure.
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Proofpoint Cloudmark and related email security solutions.
Manage SMTP routing, mail relays, and email gateways.
Monitor email traffic, deliverability, and message flow across the environment.
Perform system administration tasks on Linux servers.
Troubleshoot mail delivery issues, spam filtering, and email security incidents.
Analyze logs and perform root cause analysis for system and messaging-related issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production environments and implement enhancements.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
