Job summary

Suffolk Construction seeks a Senior MEP Superintendent - Mission Critical to direct all on-site activities, manage safety, quality, and scheduling, and coordinate with owners and architects through the project lifecycle.

You will lead field teams, coordinate with Project Manager, and ensure trade partners align with project baselines and turnover requirements. This role emphasizes leadership, problem-solving, and adherence to Suffolk’s core values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline and experience relative to project size/scope.
• 8 to 12 years of experience related construction fields.
• Applicable area licenses.
• Excellent team development skills and leadership abilities.
• Strong ability to partner with the Project Manager and staff.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to handle ambiguity and tight oversight.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, and document all day-to-day job site activities including OSHA safety compliance.
• Direct field personnel according to the project plan and Suffolk supervisory principles.
• Communicate issues, events, performance, and progress daily to the Project Manager.
• Report problems promptly to the Project Manager for cost-effective solutions.
• Establish effective working relationships with Clients, Suffolk team members, subcontractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Lead planning meetings and ensure the project schedule aligns with contracts and input from subcontractors.
