Job summary

Turner Construction Company in San Antonio, TX seeks a Project Superintendent for Mechanical and Electrical systems on a San Antonio project. You will lead subcontractors, manage safety, schedule, budget and quality while coordinating with engineers and owners.

Responsibilities include coordinating trades, developing recovery plans to maintain schedule, overseeing BIM coordination, and mentoring assistants and interns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least four years of formal engineering or architectural experience and six years of mechanical/electrical/plumbing construction experience.
• Knowledge of building construction methods, scheduling, cost control and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to read contract documents, drawings and specs.
• Strong written and verbal communication and demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct and coordinate work of subcontractors on MEP systems, ensuring safety, schedule, quality and budget adherence.
• Manage and coordinate trades for a coordinated project operation and resolve local area procedures and design clarifications.
• Oversee site safety program and subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and codes.
• Supervise and develop assistants, engineers or interns and provide performance input.
• Develop sequencing schedules, recovery strategies and coordinate with owners and architects/engineers.
