Job summary

Turner Construction Company in San Antonio, TX is seeking an experienced MEP Construction Manager to oversee preconstruction, engineering, and field installation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on a major project.

You will lead MEP staff, coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and owner’s representatives, and manage procurement, budgets, quality, safety, scheduling, commissioning, and close-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years’ experience in MEP design, cost, sequencing, logistics, and field installation.
• Identify design features that drive cost premiums and propose alternatives for similar or improved function.
• LEED accreditation preferred; strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner’s representatives to align with client goals from initiation to completion.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contract documents, plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Lead, supervise and develop Turner MEP staff, including input on performance appraisals.
• Oversee daily activities of Engineer-MEP, Superintendent-MEP, and subordinates.
• Manage MEP procurement, project budgets, quality, safety, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and close-out processes.
