Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer PE with extensive experience in MEP property assessments, energy audits, and commissioning to join our national engineering consulting team. The role focuses on evaluating large-scale MEPF systems, leading projects, and delivering sustainable, code-compliant solutions.

A hybrid schedule and strong benefits package are offered. Ideal candidates have 10–15+ years in MEP consulting, with HVAC and plumbing expertise, and knowledge of building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• PE license desired.
• 10–15+ years of MEP consulting experience.
• HVAC and plumbing system expertise; knowledge of electrical & fire protection systems.
• Experience in energy audits, commissioning, and sustainability consulting.
• Knowledge of state and national building codes and standards.
• CEM or LEED certifications preferred, but not required.
• Strong leadership and project management experience.
• Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and PlanGrid.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), energy audits, commissioning, and forensic evaluations of MEPF building systems.
• Design, construction management, and evaluation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Provide cost estimates for repair or replacement of systems.
• Peer review building designs.
• Interact, coordinate, and communicate clearly with site personnel and clients.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
• Contribute to a wide variety of projects with unique challenges and opportunities.
