Job summary

Jobot in Pasadena is seeking a Sr Mechanical Engineer PE with extensive experience in MEP property assessments, energy audits, and commissioning to support energy projects across diverse facilities. The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in an MEP consulting setting, HVAC/plumbing expertise, knowledge of codes, and the ability to lead design reviews, manage clients, and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent.
• PE License desired.
• 10‑15+ years of MEP Consulting Firm experience in engineering, design and evaluation of large‑scale MEPF systems.
• HVAC and Plumbing expertise required; knowledge of Electrical & Fire Protection systems.
• Experience in Facilities Engineering, Energy Audits, Commissioning, and Sustainability consulting.
• Knowledge of State & National Building Codes & Standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), Energy Audits, Commissioning and Forensic Evaluations of MEPF building systems.
• Design, Construction Management and Evaluations of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems.
• Provide cost estimations for repairs or replacements.
• Peer review building designs.
• Coordinate with site personnel and clients.
• Travel to project sites as needed.
