Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of MEP systems at the assigned facility in New York. The role may involve supervising engineering staff depending on shift and site size.

The incumbent will perform preventive maintenance, coordinate with contractors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred.
• Experience operating HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems in commercial properties.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for the building.
• Supervise maintenance staff when needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance: filters, belts, lamps, bearings, etc.
