Job summary

Meade is a full-service design firm seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer III to join our mechanical design team. Projects include data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile construction, requiring collaboration with clients, vendors, and external disciplines.

The candidate will design and document mechanical and plumbing systems in Revit, develop HVAC layouts, perform load analyses, and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated, efficient solutions

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and loading software.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes and standards.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of mechanical and plumbing systems using Revit for diverse projects.
• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing layouts including ductwork and equipment.
• Perform load calculations and optimize system performance.
• Coordinate with architects and other engineers to integrate systems in Revit.
• Write and edit equipment specifications and select systems and devices.
• Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and assist with records and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and sustainability requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Stay updated on Revit features and best practices.
