Job summary

Meade is a full-service design firm seeking a Mechanical Designer III to contribute to our mechanical design team. You will develop HVAC and plumbing layouts in Revit for data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile projects.

You will perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system optimization, while coordinating with architects, electrical, and structural engineers to ensure integrated, code-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in MEP mechanical design.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Skills in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, load software, etc.
• Familiarity with HVAC codes, standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC and plumbing system layouts within Revit, including ductwork, piping, and equipment placement.
• Perform engineering calculations for load analysis, equipment sizing, and system performance optimization.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within Revit models.
• Write and edit mechanical equipment specifications, select equipment, mechanical systems, and devices while considering cost-effectiveness and energy efficiency.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders, assist with record drawings, site visits, inspections, and commissioning work.
