Job summary

Gilbane Building seeks an experienced MEP Manager to lead the MEP execution on a large-scale construction project. This role is primarily site-based in Charlotte, NC, with occasional office visits and potential 100% travel for Southeast projects.

You will oversee MEP staff, drive coordination, manage schedules and quality, and partner with the owner to ensure safe, on-time delivery of complex builds. This role reports to senior leadership and requires strong leadership and technical expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 10–15 years related field experience.
• OSHA 30 hour certification.

Responsibilities

• Approves all MEP and Commissioning schedules.
• Supervises MEP subcontracting strategies and creates Scopes of Work for MEP bid packages and equipment.
• Leads MEP coordination reviews of contract documents.
• Defines best approach for MEP buyout.
• Ensures timely execution of the MEP Coordination Process (BIM).
• Trains direct reports on processes and completes daily tasks.
