Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to lead the MEP execution on a large-scale construction project. The role is primarily site-based in Charlotte, NC, with travel and occasional meetings. The candidate will oversee MEP staff, coordinate with the project team, and may serve as the project manager on MEP-heavy builds.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required.
• 10-15 years related field experience.
• OSHA 30 hour certification required.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Approves MEP schedules and commissioning plans.
• Oversees MEP subcontracting strategies and scopes of work.
• Negotiates pricing and change orders with contractors and equipment vendors.
• Conducts MEP constructability reviews and BIM coordination.
• Ensures completion of MEP coordination process and site inspections.
• Trains and mentors direct reports to meet company standards.
