Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks an experienced MEP Manager to lead the MEP execution process, oversee MEP staff, and potentially serve as the project manager on MEP-heavy builds. This site-based role is primarily in Charlotte, NC, with available office visits and travel across the Southeast.

You will join a collaborative team and be involved in coordinating schedules, GMP prep, and subcontracting strategies while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading MEP execution on large construction projects.
• Site-based role with travel to the Southeast region and willingness to travel 100%.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Approves all MEP and Commissioning schedules
• Assists with the preparation of the GMP
• Supervises MEP subcontracting strategies and originates Scopes of Work for MEP bid packages and equipment
• Negotiates pricing and change orders with contractors and equipment manufacturers
