Job summary

Yates Construction Co. seeks a Senior MEP Project Manager to lead a large battery manufacturing facility project in Byhalia, MS. You will drive planning, execution, and safe delivery of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process utilities, coordinating with subs and owner teams to meet budget and schedule targets.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and integrity, with responsibility for preconstruction, QA/QC, and commissioning coordination across dense utility corridors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction management experience, ideally with battery plants, semiconductors, or automotive manufacturing.
• Experience managing MEP scopes valued at $50MM+ and implementing large safety plans.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety program administration and project teams to meet milestones.
• Oversee MEP subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to align with schedule and specs.
• Coordinate high‑complex systems installations including HV distribution, process cooling, ventilation, and fire protection.
• Develop scopes of work, conduct constructability reviews, and support VDC/model reviews.
• Provide daily progress reporting, issue resolution, and coordination with owners and field teams.
