Job summary

Hill International, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior MEP Estimator to provide mechanical (and preferably electrical) cost expertise across all project design phases.

The Senior Estimator will produce accurate quantity take-offs and estimates calibrated to the level of design and specification completeness at each estimating stage—from conceptual/order-of-magnitude through fully detailed construction document estimates.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 15+ years in construction, with at least 10 years mechanical estimating experience; electrical estimating preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff, WinEst, or Destini.
• Experience in mechanical process piping, clean room, data center, rail/transit or semiconductor projects preferred.
• Willingness to travel to Seattle, WA periodically.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical and mechanical estimating expertise across multiple project types and design phases.
• Perform quantity take-offs from SD/DD through CD level, adjusting detail to design maturity.
• Prepare quantified estimates for electrical and mechanical CSI Divisions with defensible pricing.
• Review third-party estimates for adequacy and completeness.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations; coordinate with project teams.
