Job summary

Hill International, Inc. is seeking an MEP Estimator in Phoenix, Arizona to support cost estimates for aviation projects.

You will interact with design managers, project managers, stakeholders, and contractors to develop comprehensive estimates for mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, including design, construction, and soft costs. The role requires experience in MEP estimation, preferred infrastructure exposure, and proficiency with major estimating software plus Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience specific to Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing.
• Four-year college degree is preferred or 5 years of experience.
• Infrastructure project experience is required, with airport/track systems preferred.
• Experience using estimating software such as On-Screen Take Off, Success, US Cost, Timberline.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite is required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with project team members, vendors, contractors, etc.
• Review estimates for adequacy, uniformity, and completeness.
• Evaluate vendor quotes, bid information, and change orders.
• Prepare detailed breakdown of components and elements of estimates for systems and subsystems.
• Accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data for future estimates.
• Review contract documents and modifications to determine scope of work and equitable cost allowance for scope changes.
• Provide cost estimates based on 30, 60, & 90 percent drawings, conceptual, design development & construction documents stages.
• Provide cost estimates resulting from construction contractor change order requests.
• Provide order of magnitude cost estimates in support of identified cost reduction measures.
