Job summary

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, seeks an MEP Estimator for our Boston HQ to develop and prepare MEP cost estimates during early development and throughout Pre-construction. The role supports project teams with updated cost information and reports to the Boston office or affiliated sites.

You will review plans, perform quantity take-offs, solicit bids, and maintain the cost database, aiming to meet financial objectives while aligning with code trends and client expectations.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in construction, management, engineering or architecture.
• Experience with estimating and pre-construction processes.
• Strong electrical focus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and MEP drawings.
• Prepare quantity take-offs on assigned projects.
• Identify omitted items and ensure proper costing.
• Develop and maintain relationships; solicit subcontractor bids.
• Obtain 3–5 bids for each trade and supplier group.
• Review bids for conformance to specs, price, and quality.
