Job summary

Element Consulting Inc. is seeking a senior estimator specializing in MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) to report to the PMO Program Controls Manager and Lead Estimator.

You will plan and prepare cost estimates for buildings from drawings and specifications, evaluating consultants’ cost deliverables for accuracy and completeness. Responsibilities include performing material takeoffs for MEP systems, evaluating quotes and change orders, and presenting recommendations to management.

Qualifications

• 10 years minimum experience in complete cost estimates for building construction (I–V).
• 5–7 years of MEP estimating experience as required.
• BS/BA in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• Expert in cost estimating theories, contract pricing, and contracting forms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction cost estimates from drawings and specs.
• Evaluate bid documents, change orders, and value engineering reports.
• Lead material takeoffs for MEP systems (MEP: mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
• Develop scope of work and cost for RFIs/RFCs and detailed costs.
