Job summary

Triangle DeCon Services, Inc. is seeking an Estimator IV (MEP) to lead cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on complex projects in Southern California.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years of professional estimating experience, including 5–7 years focused on MEP estimating. The senior estimator will develop takeoffs, review bids and change orders, analyze costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities while collaborating with PMO, engineers, and architects to deliver

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years minimum of recent professional experience in the preparation of complete cost estimates for type I, II, or III, and V building construction as defined by the State building code including 5 - 7 years of MEP estimating.
• Expert in theories, principles, and practices of cost estimating and contract pricing.
• Expert in Design Build, Design Bid Build and Job Order Contracting forms of contracting.
• Full knowledge of construction methods for buildings and structures.

Responsibilities

• Senior level estimator specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Pluming (MEP) trades and reporting to PMO Program Controls Manager and Lead Estimator.
• Plan and participate in the preparation of construction cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare estimates per design based on scope and building type.
• Evaluate cost-estimating deliverables for accuracy, uniformity and completeness.
• Prepare cost estimates for contractor proposals for extra work.
• Perform special studies and prepare reports when bids vary from estimates.
• Conduct site visits and gather information to produce project estimates.
