Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking an experienced estimator to prepare detailed estimates for MEPT and LV systems across federal division projects. You will collaborate with the estimating team to review bid documents, assess risks, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers from concept through construction documents.

The role requires a strong background in construction estimating, DB/CMAR delivery methods, and proficiency with BIM and estimation software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
• 7+ years of construction estimating support, engineering, field support, or similar experience.
• 4+ years estimating experience related to Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and Low Voltage System estimating experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience with Design-Build (DB), Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) or other alternate contract delivery types will be viewed more favorably.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical, Technology, and LV systems from conceptual design through construction documents.
• Review bid documents and assess project risks; understand project logistics and schedules.
• Develop relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers; coordinate with estimators to maintain qualified vendor lists.
