Job summary

Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to support our Boston HQ. The MEP Estimator will develop, create and prepare cost estimates for a diverse set of projects in the early stages of development and continue to support the project team with updated cost information throughout the Pre-construction phase.

This position will be reporting to our Boston office or affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in construction, management, engineering or architecture.
• Software experience in On-Screen Take Off or similar product preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in Estimating, Construction Engineer/Project Engineer, or related duties.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and MEP drawings.
• Prepare quantity take-offs on assigned projects.
• Identify items omitted and ensure proper costing in estimates.
• Solicit subcontractor bids and manage costing for projects.
• Review bids for conformance to specifications, price and quality.
• Determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized estimates.
• Organize centralized cost estimating database and processes.
