Job summary

CDCI in the Washington Metropolitan Area is seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to design and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for commercial design-build projects. The role involves developing MEP designs, calculations, equipment selections, and coordinated drawings for permitting and construction.

The candidate will ensure designs meet codes, client requirements, and budgets, while coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project managers.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• Experience designing MEP systems for commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, system sizing, and construction coordination.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit/BIM.

Responsibilities

• Develop MEP designs, calculations, equipment selections, and coordinated drawings for permitting and construction.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, client requirements, and project budgets.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors and project managers.
• Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and resolve design and installation conflicts.
