Job summary

Perspire Sauna Studio in New York City is seeking a Senior Membership Sales Associate to join our vibrant member services team. You will connect with guests, give tours, and highlight the benefits of sauna and wellness programs while driving membership and package sales.

Work at two NYC locations with a 32–40 hour weekly schedule spanning mornings, evenings, and weekends. A positive, energetic attitude and a passion for health and wellness are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing sales.
• A genuine interest in health, wellness and fitness is essential.
• High energy, confidence and enthusiasm are a must.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• A always-on, team-player attitude and willingness to help with all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests in the studio and connect personally with each guest.
• Conduct studio tours and educate guests on sauna/therapy benefits.
• Sell memberships, packages and retail products with confidence in a commission-based setting.
• Make proactive high-energy calls to guests per shift.
• Attend community events to promote the studio and sign up new guests.
• Multitask at the front desk: bookings, check-ins/outs, membership changes, inventory, and communications.
• Carry out daily cleaning duties.
• Stand for long periods and handle lifting of laundry and towels; use cleaning chemicals.

This is a position to work from 2 locations:

• Perspire Flatiron : 50 West 23rd St., New York, NY (Manhattan)
• Perspire Williamsburg: 191 N 8th Street, Brooklyn, NY

You will be working 32-40 hours per week across 5 days, based on a monthly schedule which includes mornings, evenings and weekends.

Here’s what you’ll do as a Senior Membership Sales Associate:

• Enthusiastically greet and engage with all guests in studio and connect with each one on a personal level.
• Administer studio tours, educate guests on the benefits of sauna/contrast therapy and promote the benefits of regular sauna use
• Sell memberships, packages and retail products with confidence in a commission-based atmosphere to reach monthly sales goals.
• Proactively make high-energy phone calls per shift to our guests
• Attend nearby community outreach events to promote the studio and sign up new guests
• Multitask while manage bookings, check ins/outs, membership changes, product inventory, and inbound communications at the front desk.
• Complete daily cleaning duties
• Physical demands: standing, lifting and carrying laundry and towels, and using cleaning chemicals.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer-facing sales roles
• An innate interest for health, wellness and fitness
• A high degree of confidence and enthusiasm
• A genuine desire to provide exceptional service
• A competitive and goal-oriented nature, driven to achieve and exceed sales goals
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
• A consistently positive, team player and no-job-is-too-small attitude
• Open availability to work 5 days per week including every weekend
• Mindbody software experience is a plus!

Compensation:

• Starting pay of $21/hour, paid every 2 weeks plus uncapped commissions on package sales and memberships once renewed
• Pay raise to $22/hour after 90 days, subject to: no unexcused lateness or absences, consistent professionalism and compliance with company policies, 100% training completion, and meeting minimum sales performance metrics.
