Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Member Service Specialist IV who will handle everyday branch transactions and deliver friendly, accurate service to members. You will process deposits and withdrawals, issue checks, assist with ATMs, and open accounts while identifying member needs and opportunities to offer Golden 1 products.

This role supports branch leadership, trains and coaches staff, and ensures compliance with bank policies and laws to protect members and the credit

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in a leadership role at another financial institution preferred.
• 1.5+ year in a Member Service Specialist III role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and general ledger entries while maintaining a cash drawer.
• Provides core Golden 1 services: checks, money orders, wire transfers, debit card issuance.
• Assesses member needs during transactions.
• Identifies opportunities to cross-sell Golden 1 products and documents in EnAct.
• Identifies and reports potential fraudulent activity to management.
• Supports ATM/teller operations, including maintenance tasks.
• May lead open/close duties in absence of managers.
• Activates branch alarm when needed.
• Coaches staff to meet member service objectives.
• Verifies signature cards in ECM.
• Approves checks within assigned limits.
• Maintains confidentiality of member information.
• Keeps knowledge of Golden 1 products and procedures.
• Performs additional branch operations as needed (TCR, SBO, safe deposit).
• Opens deposit and specialty accounts to meet member needs.
• Engages in consultative dialogue to identify financial needs.
• Enrolls members in online and mobile channels.
• Referral of lending/investment needs to business partners.
• Processes consumer loan applications and fulfillment.
• Approves signature cards.
• Audits loan reports and coaches for accuracy.
• Provides approvals within authorized limits.
• Notarizes member documents.
• Processes medallion stamp requests.
• Maintains knowledge of laws and compliance.
