Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Hartford is seeking a Senior Member Service Representative (Senior MSR) in Putnam, CT. You will support the Welcome Center and Membership Department, train MSRs, and handle membership transactions to support acquisition, retention, and an excellent member experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework/degree preferred in related fields.
• Minimum two years of experience in customer service, membership, sales or front-desk operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and support daily Welcome Center operations.
• Train and onboard new MSRs, oversee Welcome Center procedures, and ensure smooth daily operations.
• Process membership transactions, holds, cancellations, transfers, and program registrations.
• Assist with membership retention efforts and outreach to increase engagement and retention.
• Maintain confidential handling of member information and financial assistance documentation.
