Job summary

Merrimack Valley YMCA is seeking a dedicated Member Services Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the member services team during assigned shifts. You will lead staff, handle inquiries, and ensure a welcoming, safe environment while promoting YMCA values.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service or member services experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the member services team during shifts to ensure efficient service.
• Provide training, guidance, and feedback to improve customer service and performance.
• Address member inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally for satisfactory resolutions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the member services area.
• Assist in staff scheduling and shift changes to ensure adequate coverage.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate member events and activities.
• Ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures and promote a safe environment.
• Handle administrative tasks such as cash handling, reporting, and documentation.
• Support membership retention strategies and initiatives.
• Serve as a role model by demonstrating YMCA values and mission.
