Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is seeking a Master Service Controls and Medium Voltage Technician to perform on-site and remote support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medium voltage systems, control panels, and distributed generation applications.

Travel is required; candidates must have fifteen years of field experience, strong knowledge of Woodward/Beckwith PLCs, and the ability to mentor junior technicians while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Fifteen years of field experience servicing generator systems, power distribution equipment, and controls.
• Hands-on medium voltage experience (8+ years).
• Experience with medium voltage electrical systems, including switchgear, breakers, transformers, relays, terminations, and grounding.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel with independent work structure.
• Provide 24x7 on-call services as required.
• Maintain Battery Storage systems and other energy systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment under contract.
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors as needed.
• Complete Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, and expense reports timely.
