Job summary

RTI Health Solutions (RTI-HS) is seeking an experienced medical writer to join our Medical Communications and Strategy team. You will draft publications (manuscripts, abstracts, posters) and collaborate with colleagues and clients to produce polished deliverables.

You will lead publication projects, oversee journal submissions, and ensure compliance with ICMJE and industry guidelines while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering timely results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the Sciences, English, or Communications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing medical or scientific publications.
• Strong communication skills, both written and interpersonal, with the ability to transform complex scientific data into a narrative for publication.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external authors to develop publication plans and medical communications, focusing on manuscripts, abstracts, and posters.
• Provide project management support from initiation to publication, including proposals, stakeholder communications, and quality reviews.
• Lead meetings confidently and address questions from clients and colleagues.
• Evaluate and summarize data from studies, documentation, and literature.
• Develop publications according to journal guidelines and industry standards (ICMJE, GPP).
• Manage multiple project timelines and client relationships across projects.
