Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or health-related field and completion of a clinical laboratory training program.
• Clinical laboratory experience or biology/chemistry degree with program may be considered.
• State license as Florida Clinical Technologist in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, serology, or histocompatibility is required or as specified by the lab.

Responsibilities

• Perform STAT and routine moderately and highly complex clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens using manual methods and automated analyzers.
• Report valid and accurate patient results in a timely manner.
• Interact with physicians, nurses and other allied health staff to coordinate testing and interpret results.
• Participate in operational activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
