Job summary

Mayo Clinic seeks a Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician to perform STAT and routine complex lab tests on biological specimens in Jacksonville, FL. You will report results timely and liaise with physicians, nurses and other health staff to coordinate testing and ensure test availability.

The role requires flexibility with shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and on-call coverage. Florida license in clinical laboratory areas and completion of an accredited program are required;

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or related field and completion of a clinical laboratory training program.
• Must have completed an accredited Medical Laboratory Technologist/Technician program.
• Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform STAT and routine moderately and highly complex clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens.
• Report valid and accurate patient results in a timely manner.
• Interact with physicians, nurses and other allied health staff to coordinate testing and understand test availability.
• Participate in operational support activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
