Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform STAT and routine moderately and highly complex clinical laboratory testing on biological specimens, using both manual methods and automated analyzers. Reports valid and accurate patient results in a timely manner.

Qualified candidates will hold a Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or health-related field with clinical training; completion of an accredited training program is required.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or health related field with clinical training.
• Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program is required.
• Preference for Medical Technologist certification or ASCP certification when applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform STAT and routine moderate and highly complex clinical laboratory testing.
• Generate reports with accurate patient results in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses and allied health staff to optimize test availability and interpretation.
• Support operational activities to maintain testing capabilities.
